2. Principles

This website is purely informational. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, embeds no third-party content (fonts, maps, videos, social media plugins) and stores nothing in your browser. Personal data is processed only to the technically necessary extent described below.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is delivered via Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). When you access the website, your browser necessarily transmits the following data to Google's servers: IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and the referring page.

This processing serves to deliver the website, to ensure stability and security and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of the website). Content is delivered through a global content delivery network, which may involve transfers to the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023); standard contractual clauses under the Google Cloud data processing terms apply in addition.

Further information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Domain name resolution and redirects (Cloudflare)

Our domains are managed by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (EU representative: Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Rosental 7, 80331 Munich, Germany). Cloudflare resolves the domain names and redirects requests to our other domains (e.g. veridian.de) to this website. In doing so, Cloudflare briefly processes your IP address and the requested URL. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

5. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, content of your request) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Our mailboxes are operated on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.

6. External links

This website links to third-party press articles (e.g. tk.de, horizont.net). When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies; we have no influence on their data processing.

7. Retention

Server logs are generally deleted by Google after a short period; we do not evaluate them ourselves. Contact data is retained for the duration of processing and, where commercial or tax law requires, for the statutory retention periods.

8. Your rights

With regard to your personal data you have the following rights against us:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise your rights, an email to datenschutz@veridian-labs.com is sufficient.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
